Prof. (Dr.) Binoy T. Thomas is HOD & Professor of Botany at Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta, with a Ph.D. from Mahatma Gandhi University and expertise in Phycology, microalgae, biodiversity, environmental sustainability, and biotechnology. He has 30 research publications, multiple patent applications, three research projects, and collaborations with institutions in India and abroad, including Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (UK), Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and K-DISC. His recognitions include the INSA Visiting Scientist Award (2021), Prof. Y.S.R.K. Sarma Memorial Research Award (2024), and Best Paper Presentation Award at ICNSE, Dubai (2014). He also contributes to innovation through prototype development and academic, research, and innovation platforms.
